Program

Welcome to the Spanish All Year “Flamenco” program, where you can learn one of the most exciting dances in the world, in Spanish!

Flamenco I (Ages 5-8)  This program will be introduced to the children using beautiful props and styles of flamenco: castanets, fans, skirts, movements of arms and hands, and the vibrant footwork. Our main purpose is to develop the rhythm and coordination skills using the music, the palms and the footwork

Flamenco II (Ages 9-12)  This second approach will focus on the most popular rhythms and styles of dance within flamenco. The children will learn to coordinate dancing, singing and the playing of the palms and to identify the musical structure of they own dances.

Flamenco Beginners (Ages 15 & up)  Basic technique: arms, footwork, hands and skirt movements. We will focus on posture and attitude of the body to express the most popular rhythms of flamenco like Sevillanas, Rumbas and Tangos.

Flamenco Advance (Ages 15 & up)  In this class will work on the structure of each flamenco rhythm using the technique learned in the prior levels. The students should be able to coordinate complicated footwork with the movement of the skirt and the hands and will have the experience of dancing with a live guitar.

In order to maximize your time in class, please follow these guidelines:

  • Don’t eat or drink inside of our studio.
