“My Friends and
Me”
8 - 9Year Olds |
| |
Eight
and nine year old children enjoy immersing
themselves in fantasy and imaginary games. At this age we start to
build children’s knowledge of the Spanish-speaking world. Through
virtual trips and activities that engage the children’s imagination
we travel to various destinations in the Spanish-speaking world
where we study different cultural artifacts and explore cultural
practices. For instance, when we learn about arpilleras
(Peruvian tapestries) we build the children’s language repertoire
through a fantasy trip to Perú where they listen to music
from Perú, sample food, learn about arpilleras, and
create and present their own arpilleras as a culminating
project. |
