Spanish Art Classes: an exciting learning experience that integrates creativity and free expression, while children explore different mediums.  Art and Spanish are great ways to experience the world of color and communication where curiosity, exploration and fun are allowed.

Spanish Cooking Classes: a fun class where children learn about Spanish traditional recipes from Latin America!  We will explore different flavors, smell interesting aromas, and taste exquisite Latino treats, while learning how to cook and bake en Español.

Music & Movement (Ballroom): a dance class that introduces children to the Spanish Language and culture, using music and creative movement.  Learn the basics of Latin Rhythms.

Spanish Literature Class: an age appropriate class, that provides the children the opportunity to listen to stories that help them learn and internalize basic concepts and have fun while listening, acting out, and doing choral recitation with their teacher, as they complete their own version of books they read in class.

Thursdays or Fridays, children come for two hours, and have four 30 minute classes.

On Saturdays, we offer one hour classes: Literature, Art, Cooking and/or Dance.  Pick two, three or four activities, according to your child’s preferences.  Expend your Saturday with us and make Spanish All Year, your Saturday School.

Conversation and grammar

The Spanish program is an integrated language course for learners between the ages of 8 and 11 with particular emphasis on oral skills. It reflects a communicative, activity-based approach to language learning. From the outset, this program empowers students to understand and send messages, both oral and written.

The Spanish program provides students with interesting and motivating situations where language learning takes place as naturally as possible. Language skills are interconnected, each skill providing support for the others. Language is constantly recycled in contexts that encourage new associations, better memory storage, and more effective retrieval.

Spanish program has been created to fit needs, interests, and cognitive skills of school-age children.

 Program Overview

Spanish is introduced sequentially to allow step-by-step progress with reentry of language elements in a cumulative manner. Selected language appears and reappears in a variety of contexts and with focus on different skills, sometimes for passive recognition and sometimes for active production.

Reading and listening texts in the Spanish program draw from a variety of authentic genres such as dialogues, signs, posters, notes, questionnaires, and stories. Texts range from very short, simple texts to passages that become increasingly longer and more complex as pupils progress

Speaking and writing activities in the Spanish program require students to produce language to communicate, using increasingly complex ideas. Students have more and more opportunities to express themselves as they progress through the program. These activities are varied and authentic. Students role-play scenarios based on reading passages, discuss their own life experiences, and write about topics presented in the textbooks.
