SPANISH SUMMER PROGRAM 2012

Who we are

As the name of our center suggests, we are a program that is designed to offer Spanish All Year Round for children 12 months to Adults.Our team of teachers is made up of Spanish speakers from Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, United States & England.  For the summer, we offer a fun and exciting full immersion eight week program.  Schedules will be available once a week to up to four days a week.  Please refer to every age group to find out when your classes meet. 

 “Spanish -Toddler and Me” (1 and 2 Year Olds)

This is a 45 minutes program designed for an older child who has outgrown the carrier and is ready to dance on their own feet.  This parent-and-tot class is full of fun, Latin-American rhythms and steps for toddlers, and walking is not a pre-requisite. We combine movement and play with instruments and toys.

“Together en Español” (2 and 3 Year Olds),                                                                                                                    This is a 45 minutes full immersion program, where parent and/or caregivers helps the child with the activity, play the games, sing, dance and practices the vocabulary related to the topic. In our program, we use thematic units which incorporate movement, story telling, plays games, and art project during the class.

Spanish Cooking Class for 4 to 7 Year Olds           

This is a 60 minutes full immersion cooking class for children to experience listening and interacting with Spanish in the kitchen.  Get ready to cook and taste some interesting Latin flavors this summer.  This class is perfect for children who love to spent time in the kitchen and want to learn Spanish at the same time.

Spanish Art Class   for 4 to 7 Year Olds                                                                                                                       This is a 60 minutes full immersion Art class for children to experience listening and interacting in Spanish as they create art projects.  Get ready to get messy and have fun with colors, shapes and Latin American Handicrafts.

 Spanish Preschool this summer for 3-4 Year Olds                                                                                                              Children will experience cultural themes through active learning and individualized attention. We will use music, dance, games, drama and a variety of exciting activities so children will engage in meaningful situations where language is real.  This summer we will explore the ocean and going to the beach.

 Spanish Cultural Summer for 4- 9 Yr Olds

We believe that our summer program is a great way to expose your children to many wonderful Latin cultures.  This year we will travel in Our Fantasy Trip to Central America.  We will pack our bags, prepare our passports and experience many means of transportation (plane, boat, bus, car, train and more).  We will learn simple high frequency phrases and words as we visit Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador & Guatemala.

The children will enjoy four 45 minute workshops where they will travel and enjoy a fantasy trip to each country.  During each visit the children will learn Spanish as they enjoy the music, the food, the arts and the traditions of each country they visit.  Spanish - Summer for 10 – 12 Yr Old

Older children in our program enjoy a conversation classes design for their level of exposure.  During 90 minutes of classes our student will enjoy meaningful activities where they will need to talk in order to complete the tasks in the classroom.  A textbook will be required at the time of registration.
